Angeles/Tahiti Depart Los Angeles

Day 2 Tahiti
Morning arrival in Tahiti. Following your fresh
flower lei greeting, transfer to your hotel. Your accommodations
have been pre-registered for immediate occupancy. We suggest a
visit to Tahiti and Her Islands museum--a good introduction to
the Marquesas. |

Day 3-5 Nuku
Hiva Early morning flight from
Tahiti to the Marquesas Islands, a spectacular last frontier.
Your adventure begins with a helicopter transfer from the airport
to the village of Taiohae and your hotel, the Keikahanui Pearl
Lodge. Visit Taiohae Village famous for its cathedral. Travel
by 4-wheel drive to Taipivai Valley and Hatiheu Valley, the favorite
bay of Robert Louis Stevenson. The Marquesans are famous for their
exquisite wood carvings. You'll have the opportunity to visit
with local artists in their home workshops. |

Day 6-8 Hiva
Oa Fly to Hiva Oa. Here is where
both Paul Gauguin and Jacques Brel lived and now rest in the Atuona
cemetery. During your three days on Hiva Oa, visit archeological
sites with Polynesia's tallest tiki statues, explore Hanaiapa
Valley and Village by 4x4 jeep safari and discover rock carvings
and picturesque villages. |

Day 9 Tahiti
Depart Hiva Oa today for your return flight to Tahiti.

Day 10 Tahiti/Los
Angeles Transfer to the airport
this morning for your flight to California. Arrive in Los Angeles
this evening. |
