What about the weather?
We realize that many readers have heard for years that Tahiti has a "dry season" and a "wet season." This is not entirely accurate. There are many sunny days in the Tahitian summer, and rain can occur any time throughout the year. We invite you to review the results of climate research recently conducted by a UCLA meteorologist at the request of Tahiti Tourisme. Then call your Travel Professional or Tahiti Legends to escape to warm, inviting Tahiti and Her Islands!

RECIPE
Poisson Cru

A Tahiti's national dish. Lime juice performs a 'cooking' action on the raw tuna, creating a refreshing dish similar to ceviche. This recipe serves two.

Ingredients:

About 1 lb. of fresh ahi tuna (diced)
One cup onions (minced)
1 cup tomato (diced)
1 cup cucumber (minced)
1 cup bell pepper (minced)
1 cup fresh coconut milk
1 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed)
Salt & pepper to taste

Mix the fish and lime juice together with salt and pepper. Allow to marinate a few minutes and mix in the rest of the ingredients. Season to taste and serve quickly.
