Self Island Tour
Ask your hotel to arrange a rent-a-car for you and
go explore the island. See horses in emerald green pastures with
the volcanic mountains of Mouaputa and Rotui as their back drop.
Just between Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay (which are two great photo
ops), stop at "The Jus de Fruits de Moorea" (Fruit Juices of Moorea)
factory and taste the intoxicating or non-alcoholic juices that
they have to offer.  Also,
in their gift shop, you may purchase vanilla beans, pineapples,
tee shirts, mango tea and other various souvenirs. Drive up to
The Belvedere for a breathtaking view of the island. If you'd like
a refreshing snack, stop at Alfredo's Restaurant for some fresh
oysters on ice or Poisson Cru.
Along your island tour stop at the small shopping center called
"Le Petit Village." Here, you will find just about any kind of souvenir
imaginable as well as locally made pareos in every shade and design.
