Legends among top Tour Operators invited to Taha’a
 |
Huntington Beach, CA –
Air Tahiti Nui, the flagship-carrier for French Polynesia,
hosted an Executive Retreat for the top U.S. tour operators
in Taha’a at the newly opened Pearl Beach Resort and
Spa.
As a foremost expert on travel to the South Pacific, with
over 25 years of experience, Ruth Zimmerman, CTC the Executive
Vice President of Tahiti Legends, was handpicked to attend
the retreat. The September event’s host, Air Tahiti
Nui, has become a vital component in the self-sustaining
economic growth of the region and anchor for international
tourism. In addition, they recognize the importance of their
tour operator partners for the mutually important promotion
of the destination.
By bringing together leading industry experts, the three-day
retreat’s purpose was to discuss the strengthening
of Tahiti’s image as a leading worldwide destination,
and Air Tahiti Nui’s strategy in light of the airlines
recent growth and success.
In meetings with top Air Tahiti Nui executives, including
Air Tahiti Nui President, Nelson Levy, and their planning
team, the airline shared its growth plans with its key partners.
In a time of woeful airline industry conditions, Air Tahiti
Nui has increased its fleet four-fold since it inaugurated
service in November of 1998.
Zimmerman was integral to the success of the retreat due
to her wealth of knowledge of the South Pacific and her
devotion to promoting travel to Tahiti and Her Islands.
