Pristine and untouched, Tetiaroa is renowned for its beauty and most famous for its legendary owner, Marlon Brando. In 1965, Brando fell in love with the island of Tetiaroa while filming “Mutiny on the Bounty”. A fervent environmental advocate, Brando shared a joint vision with Richard Bailey, owner of several luxury resorts in French Polynesia, to develop an environmentally sustainable resort. Today, this vision has resulted in the opening of the eco-friendly resort known simply as “The Brando”.
