Tahiti welcomes the return of Windstar Cruises beginning May 2014. A small ship luxury cruise experience, the Wind Spirit is a sleek, four-masted sailing yacht accommodating just 148 guests.
The yacht is perfectly suited to Tahiti’s many lagoons, small enough to reach places other ships can’t go, yet large enough to pamper and entertain guests.
The Wind Spirit is the perfect way to experience the true wonder of the Tahitian islands. Its graceful white sails lead guests from one paradise island to the next, overnighting in the warm lagoons, allowing guests ample time to swim, snorkel and experience the beauty of French Polynesia.
Windstar’s relaxed style differs from many other cruise experiences, although offering luxurious amenities, gourmet cuisine and exceptional service, guests have a genuine freedom to escape and explore as they want, when they want. The Wind Spirit feels like your own private yacht – there is no Cruise Director, but rather the Captain is your host. Guests can come up to the bridge to visit with the captain and plot the course to the next island on the itinerary.
Wind Spirit Overview
The Wind Spirit features wide open, teak decks—quite unusual for small ships. With over 10,000 square feet of open deck space, guests will find hidden nooks for private moments giving them a feeling of being on their own private verandah.
All staterooms have ocean views, queen beds, flat-screen TV with DVD player and Bose SoundDock speakers for Apple iPods. The Owner’s Suite includes a sitting area.
Wind Spirit offers two primary dining venues. AmphorA Restaurant offers gourmet, course-by-course cuisine in the evenings and the Veranda restaurant offers casual buffet and full-service dining for breakfast and lunch. All dining is open seating. And, for dining under the stars, make a reservation for Candles which features steaks and skewers.
Wind Spirit has the following facilities onboard - WindSpa, casino and entertainment lounge, water-sports platform, library, pool and hot tub.
